Thanks a lot for your time in reading my post and providing your valuable feedback.

I think I should have  been bit more clear in my query.

My only concern is with getting a Lease Break receipt which I need to submit to my compnay. I requested my agent to issue me a Lease Break receipt having two weeks rent (which I paid but did not stay at the apartment) and any other fee,if applicable. 

My agent provided me a rental ledger (which has all rents I paid), but refused to give any Lease Break receipt. He stated that I did not technically break the lease as per Australian law. I do have all proofs of my communication with him.

Please guide whether my agent is correct, any website/pdf/article stating this rule will be highly beneficial for me.
