Re: Change the storage space to small car space

Thanks for every suggestion. Nowsaday I normally park my car in that space but my neighbor next to my space he always put 4WD bike or sofa bed at the back of his car space, he always park his front car over the line into common area. And make me hard to park my car. Before I thought my space is car space I complained with Strata manager but he said he cannot do anything because my space is only storage. And my neighbor is very kindless person when I asked him to park a little bit back he said my space is not car space. So that’s why I want to make it legally. But I have searched internet It has some council they approved for small car space size 2.3 m width and 5 m length. So I hope my one can be like that.

I am not sure that I agree with Jimmy T and Sir Humphrey that storing a car in a storage area would be legal or safe.

Storage areas usually prohibit the storage of flammable items. The storage of a car in this area could create a fire hazard and breach the terms of the scheme’s insurance policy. Cars contain flammable fuel.

I guess you would need to look at the by-laws regarding what type of materials are prohibited in your storage areas.
