Missy,
My disrespectful neighbour claims he is the manager of the owners corporation, so I would effectively be serving him notice of the complaint. I don’t have an issue with that and I’m slowly collecting all the proof that they are deliberately making the noises. I just can’t get over the fact that there are people who do this. On the weekend, the wife of the neighbour came home with the music blaring in her car (obviously trying to upset us). I just thought how quickly she will become deaf. We are talking people in their 50s deliberately making this noise. With regards to the non-resident cars, it is by default a Victorian by-law in the absence of the owners corporation not creating their own rules. They have complied in the last three days so perhaps they are starting to understand. However, the noise has increased and I think this is because they know we are right about no cars coming through. The other unit is on the same page or at least understands where I’m coming from, but their unit is a bit further back and they don’t hear everything that is going on. They have noted the front door slamming before (again, I just wait for the day that their front door actually breaks because they are so deliberately forceful). They are unfortunately owners. Been living here for about 15 years. Perhaps why they are a bit peeved off because we are following the rules and perhaps they havent in the past. Well, rules are rules, and they are there to protect those living in close proximity.
I feel for your situation. Nothing worse than a person who doesnt show any respect to another fellow human being.
