And what about prospective tenants who take photos while inspecting the place? This happened to me when I moved out of my unit in Sydney 6 months ago. What’s to stop them posting the photos on their favourite social media site e.g. ‘Check out this place I saw today at 15 Privacy St, Privacyville’.
Taking photographs of my personal items should not be permitted. Agents/landlords should be made to wait until the property has been vacated before they can open it for inspection. Advertising a vacancy should only show the outside of the building and/or photographs taken when the property was last empty until the property has been vacated.
