Thank you so much for advice. The floorboards are coming away from the joists, not sure if joists need replacing. I am sure the floor needs work. The damaged floor is age related, not from removing carpet.  Almost all owners have removed carpet and then treated the floor boards, some repaired, some replaced. Once it is clear to the oc whose legal responsibility it is to repair, replace the floor then we will have to work out how to pay. Very scary development.
