We have a common property car park in our Sydney block with 10 designated unit spaces marked by signs. The signs have been allowed to fall into disrepair and some have gone, so of course tradies and visitors assume they can park in unmarked spots. (We have no visitor parking at all and are 70 metres from street parking.)
This causes disturbing horn-blowing, aggro disputes and inconvenience, especially for one young mum and toddler with a conveniently located parking space who suffer several times each week.
New signs were approved October of last year, more than 6 months ago. I personally have asked at least 3 times for the new signs to be expedited and have been met with replies such as: “The signage is currently in production. Following that they will be installed” and that was today.
It’s unclear whether the Strata Manager, to whom all functions are assigned, or the Strata Committee or the supplier are dragging the chain. When I got a bit loud on the phone about this today through frustation, I was told “if I behaved like this, he wouldn’t speak to me”. It’s a catch 22 🙂 situation.
What can I / we do, please.
