News entry of concern from NSW Health this morning…

“Infected residents evacuated after eight cases at Bondi apartment block”

I live in Bondi and am keen to find out more about the location of this block. Anyone come across any details please?

Probably best to do this by personal message as the authorities have clearly decided to keep it under wraps. Don’tt want to spark any pitchforks and flaming torches scenarios.

          According to the Daily Mail

          https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9779263/Bondi-tower-block-isolation-eight-residents-test-positive-Covid-five-apartments.html

the building is in Botany Road, Bondi Junction.

But a quick Google search in fact reveals it is Botany Street, Bondi Junction which can be discerned from the less than detailed photo of the said building on the Daily Mail’s link.

Thanks for the responses. Now that the Botany St apartment has been widely covered in the media, I would like to ask a follow up question…

During the 11am briefing today, I think I heard Dr Chant say the source of infection is known but when a journalist asked for details today, I don’t think she answered. I am keen to find out more about how the infection was transmitted. This would help other apartments to learn from the experience. Social interaction between apartments? Indoor air? Bins? Surfaces? Lifts? Wondering if Jimmy or anyone else has more inflormation?
