Hi,
My unit complex has parking stackers. We share one level of a stacker with our neighbour. Prior to moving in, our car was in perfect condition. A few months back I noticed a lot of small chips along the rear door. Last week I noticed there’s now a few scrapes along the front door and a chip in the passenger door handle. They park to our left, neighbour seems to park with a lot of room to his left so he can load his kids in the car while it’s still on the stacker, we try and park as far to the right as possible.
At the moment, I have no proof that it is the neighbour and I’m guessing any mention of this to the neighbour will result in denials. Would it be wrong of me to setup a camera to record just along the side of the car? If it is them doing it, then I would at least be in a position to sort out an insurance claim and have them sort out the way they park/enter/exit their car. I don’t want confrontation and issues, I just don’t want my car damaged and expect people to respect others’ property.
