Hi,
We live in a small block of apartments, the upstairs’ neighbours son (early 20’s) has been taking our ladders in the middle of the night to get in through their windows (1st floor) as he repeatedly locks himself out, we live on the ground floor. This has happened at least 3 times in the last 3 weeks via various different windows including gaining ladder access via our private balcony. The noise has been waking us in the middle of the night with us thinking there are intruders in the back yard – the rear yard is only accessible by us even though it is common property. We’ve been close to calling the police on these occasions, however after realising what all the commotion is about, have decided not to in case its wasting police time.
The ladders have now been removed to prevent the son from doing this again, I’m terrified he’ll fall as the ladders don’t reach the windows and he has to stretch and lift himself up and over, he’s usually very drunk when he’s doing this (aprx 12’’ drop). His parents have been away a lot recently which is when a lot of issues happen – pot smoking on the communal roof, his friends high on drugs, the list goes on. I’m not sure how to broach these issues as his parents are on the EC and we have particularly poor relations with the apartment upstairs due to ongoing noise issues. Any help would be most appreciated.
Kind regards,
Sasha1
