We have just had fire doors installed in our building which are stained not painted. One of the owners renovated their unit without informing strata of their plans and painted the door on the inside of their unit and the strip part of the door where the locking mechanism is. So when they open the door you can see the white part of the door. I was under the impression that the fire doors are common property and should not be touched without consent from strata is this the case?
They also scratched and marked the front of the door while renovating. Is strata responsible for fixing the scratches?
They have also fitted a fan in the ceiling of the bathroom so they have cut a hole in the ceiling to do so. Is there anything that can be done about this?
