I live in Raleigh Park, Kensington which consists of 7 stratas and houses divided up into 9 neighbourhood associations. There are 3 other commercial entities. Each of the 19 entities acts independently through their Owners Associations. There is also a Community Association which consists of representatives from each of the 19 entities run by an Executive Committee that is elected at their AGM. This association runs certain common entities in the complex such as security. I am the Chairman of one of the stratas.
Because of the greater number of neighbourhoods (9) as against the stratas (7), and because the neighbourhoods have lobbied to get as many of their members on the EC, the current EC consists of 8 neighbourhood members and 1 strata member.
An issue has arisen whereby the EC has decided to take an action that the stratas believe is against their interest and also against certain Management Statements. My question is what action can the stratas take to get the matter resolved?
