I have a problem in my building right now, and not sure what to generally do or the processes involved in changes.
-In my building on common property there are Rubbish Bins as in any building. They are outside Bins next to our units. They are the large industrial size Bins. Very loud and noisy when they slam, high decibel level.
They are hard metal bins, no pads on the Bins when they close. Many residents, as they are heavy lift them up, and just drop them, they slam very loud, hurting my ears, headache wake me up all hours of the night and early in the morning. They are so loud as they are industrial rubbish bins, in a residential apartment building, and older style large high rise building 20 floors with 80 units. I went to a friends apartment building, and I told them about the bins, and asked to see there bins. They have big industrial style rubbish bins. But they were modern about 5 years old, but with pads good acoustic technology and modern. How would I get the bins in my apartment building to be changed, to more modern acoustically better rubbish bins. As it’s noisy and it should not be acceptable you’d think, with noise levels of rubbish bins slamming all hours of the night and early in the morning. They are very loud and surprised they are even in residential apartment buildings. My friends industrial rubbish style bins are far more modern and have pads on them. How to I apply to get them changed, do I go to my owner’s corporation, or fair trading, or do I have to pay for them myself to be changed, even though there common property. I don’t think I should have to pay for them or do I. As rubbish bins would be common property that the OC pays for.
