Our apartment block of 20 apartments has, like quite a few others on this forum have noted, been quaranteed from new committee members by a cabal who seem to think they own the complex.
We even have the situation where 2 of the 5 members do not even show up for our AGM but are re-appointed based on proxies, held by other committee members.
Would appreciate some thoughts on the following, taking the last AGM as an example we only had 6 owners (out of 20 attend) and 3 of these were on the strata committee. As 4 of us had proxy votes there was deemed to be a quorum of 10, or 50%. I seem to have read something about a limit on number of proxies but not sure if it is relevant here.
My question is was the quorum legal?
Many thanks
