The is website is entirely self-managed (it’s an adjunct to, not an offshoot of the Flat Chat column in the Sydney Morning Herald) so I am grateful to the sponsors who have put their hands in their pockets to keep it going. This goes beyond a commercial arrangement – they wouldn’t be in these pages if I didn’t think they were good people.
STRATA MANAGERS
Firstly, there’s our principal sponsor StrataChoice whom I’ve known for years and who, as Linders Strata Managers, took over the running of my own building and helped us through a very difficult first few years. I was very pleased when they jumped in at the first opportunity to sponsor the site.
STRATA LAWYERS
Makinson & d’Apice has a specialist Strata Law team which focuses on issues affecting strata and community schemes. They are committed to delivering quality outcomes based on effective advocacy and an appreciation of our clients’ bottom line. Their services include liability issues; management statements and agreements; building defects/repairs; by-laws; easements; strata plans of subdivision; company title; mediations; debt/levy recovery; and litigation.
BUILDING MANAGEMENT
ONLINE STRATA MANAGEMENT
Murray Cameron of StrataRes was a prime mover in getting me to redesign and get this website to start paying its way. Murray runs an established strata management firm called StrataRes (http://www.stratares.com) but, significantly, also offers an online self-management service at http://www.stratamanageit.com which allows several levels of service from a free strata web interface through to a full strata management service.
STRATA FINANCE
There comes a time in many buildings’ lives when work just has to be done, there’s no money in the kitty but the owners can’t raise another special levy. Paul Morton of Lannock Strata Finance would say you should call him long before you get to that stage. Lannocks are one of only two specialist strata finance companies around, offering loans to Owners Corporations rather than individual owners, and we are delighted to have them on board as a sponsor.
