Hi…can funds in an AGM approved maintenance plan be used to pay for  ‘maintenance’ items that are not listed on the maintenance plan?
This is in Victoria for a non-prescribed OC that however does have a Maintenance plan that was approved at an AGM.

      thanks

      Tony

I can’t see why not.  maintenance issues can arise unexpectedly, and inaction could exacerbate them or cause other problems elsewhere.  As long as the action is discussed, voted on and minuted, there shouldn’t be any problem – unless it means planned maintenance is delayed in a harmful way.

          Oh, OK

Its just that a previous Manager said that having been approved at an AGM, then any changes would require AGM approval..?

            hello, OP here again.

to provide further details, if the Maintenance Plan was passed by a General resolution at the AGM, is the Committee obligated to follow it?

as we have quite a detailed Maintenance Plan, ie item by item..?
