In the courtyard of my townhouse I have large gum tree that is shedding its limbs from a height in excess of ten meters.
I have approached the strata managers and I have been informed that I will need to apply to the council to have the tree removed. I was also informed that the first 2.7m of the tree is mine and that all above that is the responsibility of the strata. I am also required to pay for 50% of the removal. Is this correct?
The trees were originally planted as part of the gardening design when we purchased the town house.
The tree is proving dangerous and I fear for my twin 2 y.o. twin grandsons and cannot allow them to playin the garden.
Is the strata manager correct in this matter?
