Hi
This week we received a demand for payment for plumbing and pipe work done on an adjoining complex of units.
Apparantly the work also involved excavation of a pipe on our property.
The work was characterised as emergency.
It was carried out in August 2013.
No permission for this work was sought therefore authorised by either the Executive or Strata management of our property.
Apparently the work was carried out on our property and the work company was directed to reclaim 30% of the overall cost from our Strata.
Do we have a legal right to refuse this payment as unsolicited and unauthorised.
Thanks
Joe
