Something for treasurers of larger strata schemes to work into budget is the expansion of the terrorism insurance scheme:

“broaden the definition of eligible property to include buildings with a floor space of at least 20% used for commercial purposes or which have a building sum insured of at least $50 million”

      https://arpc.gov.au/2017/04/04/terrorism-insurance-scheme-amendments-approved/

There’s a “levy based on postcode” calculator on the ARPC site to help with the budget process. We had a little surprise with our recent insurance policy renewal – the changes came into effect on July 1 2017.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
