I’m in NSW. We had our plumber in the other day to replace some taps and when turning off the water to our unit he noted that the mains cut-off valve for our unit was in need of repair (non urgent) and further advised that notwithstanding that the valve is located within our unit it is common property and therefore would need to be repaired by the Owners Corporation.

      Is this correct?

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
