Hi All,

Hope this is the correct thread.

Just a quick Q: Is it normal for the strata person to disclose who exactly raised a complaint for an issue already in the common laws.

ie. “unit 4 has raised a complaint about people parking in front of the common area garage’ meanwhile others notices are more discrete “people are not meant to leave their toys etc on the common stairs areas”.

I ask because it seems unprofessional to me and could quite easily put my elderly mother at odds with the person who parks there.

Naming the complainant is quite provaocative but anyone can search the strata records to see any correspondence anyway.

This feels like sloppy communication but it might saaso be the committee or secretary signalling that they don’t have a problem with it.

I would politely ask them to be a bit more discrete in future.

I have advised them and noted should any domestic problems arise I will keep this as a reference point.

They also attached a picture of the car at fault, however, this was taken by them and not the owner which they said made the complaint. I feel this further escalates the issue and puts undue stress on the person.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
