      Hi There,

Looking for advice. We own a terrace house in inner Melbourne, it shares a wall with one other terrace house. Whilst the two houses and yards are totally separate (fenced in, show up separately on searches, land data etc) the garden areas are shown to be “common property” on the S32 we assume this was a short cut when the titles were made – we are looking to extend/renovate but not sure how this impacts this plan and what the best way forward is? Our lot (yard, house etc) is considerably larger than the neighbours and we are nervous to draw their attention to this issue… The land, fences houses etc have been this way for at least 50 years…

      Thanks in advance,

      A

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
