      Our block has a common storage area that shares common walls with two of the units. One of the unit owners wants to store his motorbikes in this area. I feel that this is not an appropriate use of the space as that owner has a detached garage to store his bikes.

      I am concerned about storing the bikes in this area as:

      * they are a potential fire hazard;

      * there is the possibility of them dripping oil/petrol and someone slipping on this;

      * the smell from the bikes permeating to other unit holders as well as having that “garage” smell  about the storage area

      What are the rules governing common property storage areas?

    PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
