Furnishings in foyers

      Our committee has decided to place 2 large sofas in the foyers of each level of our highrise.I am concerned that this will create a problem with noise for the two apartments within metres of the area.When the units were built the designers placed a small sofa against the far wall and this seems sufficient for residents waiting for the lift.Can the original design be changed if there are objections and will the Executive Committee be responsible for any disturbances created by the new arrangements?
