I must be missing something. It sounds like you are encouraging or condoning ECs doing nothing. At the very least, publicising that it's an option for them in this dysfunctional system.
Ability to use Fair Trading and CTTT a bright spot? Don't think so! Take too long, cumbersome, can be expensive and emotionally draining. No guarantee of seeing something wrong put right. But that's not news to you or other Flat Chat followers.
The treasurer mentioned was probably acting corruptly, on the face of it, and who's going to be able to afford to, or even bother to, pursue the matter in a 'higher court', as you put it.
