I have not read the Strata Law Discussion Paper yet, but have read bits and pieces about it. The references I remember such as ‘cutting red tape’ to do with renovating your own apartment sends a shiver down my spine when considered in the context of today’s article in the Sydney Morning Herald and the quotes I have extracted from it. Anybody freaked-out?

“Fire investigators and police are examining an extra bedroom that was added to the apartment by walling off part of the dining room.”
“In another issue that concerns investigators, the four-bedroom apartment appears to have been used as a mini-boarding house, with locks on all bedroom doors.”
