AGM not in Sync with Financial year

      I have an AGM coming up next month. We are being asked to approve a budget for the 18-19 Financial year which covers the period from 1/11/18 to 31/10/19. This means that we are already 5 months into the year. Is this legal, and what can I do to get the budget year aligned to the AGM? I’ve raised this issue in the past but nobody else seemed to think it was a problem.

    PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
