Recently a notice has been put up, by OC Management forbidding all occupants from using a Fire Exit door to exit the building.  This door is down a corridor, past storage units and has one-way exit capabilities only and is located at the opposite end of the building, well away from the formal entrance.  It is not alarmed.  The original notice says that it is a Fire door to Keep Clear and No Obstruction.  Garbage bins are regularly placed outside of the door, blocking and obstructing egress, by OC Management.  Is this law or are residents allowed to use this to exit a building?  The next step will no doubt be threats of fines…  Does anyone have knowledge about this?

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
