For some reason I’ve been getting emails promoting the second edition of the book “Guide to ACT Strata Law: Second Edition” by a local law firm.  It’s on sale until the end of the month.  Given that a lot of the discussion here is about NSW and the Acts are broadly similar but certainly not identical, I’m tempted to get a copy.  Also because there have been some tricky issues recently in our development.  Have any ACT folk seen this book and can comment on how useful they found it?

I think the first edition was quite good and useful although it had a minor error in the way a tribunal matter was described that was a bit annoying to me having been involved in that matter. I wrote to the author, who acknowledged the error and said he would fix it if ever there was a second edition.

Thank you Sir Humphrey.  I was hoping that you would comment.  I will probably get a copy.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
