My Managing Agent managing my leased apartment placed a work order with the Strata Manager on 23rd October regarding rivets to be removed and locks replaced on windows.  This relates to windows running along a common property side wall.  The builder put the rivets in place for security purposes and then  subsequently went into receivership.  The SM advised on the 8th November that the rivets would be removed and locks replaced.  It is now the 23rd December and the rivets are still in place.  This is a safety issue for my tenants who would not be able to escape should there be smoke or a fire.  The Fire Department has directed that the rivets must to be removed.  Is 2 months a reasonable amount of time for an OH&S work order to be completed?  What happens should it go longer?  The Managing Agent has not received further word even after numerous email to follow ups.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
