Is it better to go through the Dept of Fair Tradings Mediation before asking for an adjudication? I have tried to talk to the new owner upstairs about him taking away carpets, I have written to him and asked the Strata Manager to do the same. At the AGM he flatly refused to do anything but rugs on the floor. Seems to me he is not interested in mediation. Also does anyone recommend a good Strata lawyer who deals with these matters and is reasonably priced? Thanks

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
