I am a newcomer to the Forum and hope someone can help with a problem we are having in our block of 11. Up until a tenant moved in about a year ago to a particular unit everyone was really great in the building. Everybody got on and life was good. Now this guy has upset the harmony in the building. Noise, smoking, parking issues, swearing, police being called, the usual sorts of things you might expect from time to time but there have been probably 8 or more incidents and residents are threatening to move out. His lease is up soon and we have asked the owner to please send him packing but she is thinking about it. We know we can probably issue notices and go to the tribunal but in practical terms what will that achieve? He gets a slap on the wrist and pretty well does what he likes. To be honest some of the residents are frightened of him. Should we camp outside the owner's home and play loud music and smoke and swear loudly to get some results? Cry

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
