The small group of interested strata owners who formed the developmental body called “Strata Homeowners of Tasmania” (SHOT) has now been accepted as a formal subcommittee of the national advocacy body the Owners Corporation Network.

This is great news for we Taswegians, as we will have the backing of highly experienced strata advocates as we push for long overdue improvements to our strata legislation and increased support for strata owners.

All Tassie strata owners are encouraged to contact the subcommittee to add to our numbers and join our discussions.  An email address is on its way.  In the meantime you can contact me, Di Elliffe, as the first convenor of this subcommittee, via comment on this post.

Congratulations!  That’s a big step forward. Interested and logged-in Taswegians should probably use the “send a message” facility which you’ll find by clicking on the username (in this case, Lovetheview) in the top left corner of the post. That way you’re not advertising your email address to the world.

NB: Longer threads may spill over to additional pages - look for the numbers on the bottom right, under the last post.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
