Ownership notification

      Hi I am just wondering what the legal requirements are for unit ownership to be disclosed to the Strata Committee? In this case, it would seem as though the Dept of Housing has purchased the unit. The unit was sold over 6 months ago and we still do not know who the official owner is, and, who/how many occupants there are. At last count there were 7 in the tiny 2 bed unit!!

      What rights do the committee have to this information? Several gruelling attempts have been made to extract this information from the tenants with no luck as of yet!!

    PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
