      Hello,

I learned yesterday that access to the roof of my apartment building for servicing and repairing air conditioning units, hot water service systems and other repairs, is through one ceiling access hatch which was installed by the builder/developer in the ceiling, inside my private lot/apartment.  Is this legal?, i.e., is it a legal requirement of builders/developers to install roof access hatches in common area ceilings, and not in a private lot? Do I have the right to refuse access?  I am the unit’s owner-occupier.

      Please help.

      Regards

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
