NSW.

Would like to know how many strata meetings a strata committee member can miss from one AGM to the next? We have had one committee member using proxies and letters of authorization for 4 to 6 meetings another missed 11 meetings and the committee just received apologies.

There is no limit to the number of meetings a committee member can miss but there are two ways to deal with persistent non-attendees.

1. Their proxy (for want of a better term) votes can be rejected by the committee at the start of the meeting.

2. When they stand for election at the next AGM, ask them why they are standing when they never turn up and encourage other owners not to vote for them, on that basis alone.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
