Good Afternoon All,
I have made the decision to “try” to change our strata manager. I say try because our small strata (4 townhouses located in Inner West Sydney Metro) has 1 owner who wants everything done without lifting a finger, 1 absentee owner who is only interested in the rent coming in and another who, lovely person – who has no idea – plus me.
I have obtained a proposal which seems to suit our requirements, but, and isn’t there always a but. The contract seemed to go on forever with an additional charge for so many items I have lost count.
My questions are,
Should I put the move to another manager on hold until after the new rules come in – 30 November 2016 I believe?
When this happens will there be a “standard” agreement or perhaps a set of standard inclusions and/or exclusions.
Would it be necessary/prudent to obtain legal advice before signing the new contract, If so, any suggestions for a cost effective avenue?
My thanks in anticipation,
Dudley
