      So we have our building defects work wrapping up and I’m being pressured to sign off on the work. I have no intention of doing this as I’m not happy with the work and am concerned it may cause issues down the track and then I’ll be responsible.  The builders have made it clear they can’t  do the work any better so we’re at a stalemate (they pulled off a huge glass sliding door frame but put it back slightly out of place so the glass doors and my security doors have to be slammed to shut and yanked openand the locks are tight. They also had a gap between where the doors were previously so instead of replacing the now too-short skirting boards with longer ones they have filled the gaps with putty).

      My belief is that the EC should be signing off on all original building defects rectification and being responsible down the track of the repairs weren’t done correctly regardless of whether it’s common property or not. I’ve had conflicting info from fair trading.

    PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
