I have a situation where two members of the executive have an interest in an company that has been supplying goods and services to the strata. We only have four members, two representing the developer and also have a vested interest in the company supplying the goods and services.    They used their position to ensure that all quotes for goods and services are only provided by their company.  I believe this to be corrupt behaviour.

In other organisations where a member of the executive is tendering to supply goods and services they excuse themselves from voting on the matter. This has not occurred this situation. I have stated on many occasions that such actions and behaviour is a conflict of interest.

What options are available when such conflicts arise?

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
