I live in a strata building in NSW that is part of a community scheme where there are a number of separate buildings with their own owners corporations and each OC is a member of a community association.
The community association manages common facilitates (gym, pool, etc.)
At the moment the community management statement has a by-law that bans apartment owners from owning a dog, I’d like to get this changed but am a bit unsure of the process.
Can I put this on the agenda for the CA AGM myself as a member of one of the OC’s in the scheme or do I need to get my owners corp to put the by-law up for a vote on my behalf, if so can the EC do this or does it need to be approved at a general meeting of my OC?
