      Hi

       

      In the last year I have leased out an apartment I renovated.

      During the renovation I had all light fittings removed and replaced with expensive fixtures (Checked with body corp. they said it was fine).

      I left appropriate spare bulbs for all lights in the apartment as they are reasonable expensive (and I assume as landlord I would be responsible)

      One issue I have had is that the tenant found it hard to replace the globe and the managing agent arranged for an electrician to come out and change it.(cost of $150)

      I am more than happy to do repairs and keep a good tenant, but is it reasonable for a tenant to be able to change a light globe themselves?

      When I was a renter I searched the city far and wide to find the correct globes for the apartment I was renting , paid for them myself and changed the,

      What is my responsibility as a landlord?

    PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services.
