We are a 1960s 12 unit block in Sydney. We have residents parking behind our building (usually 4 cars) in a spot with a sign that says “Residents Parking”. This is common property between garages.

      Couple questions

      1. There is no by-law in place to permit this

      2. There are no car width painted lines to show these are car spaces

      3. One car hasn’t moved for 6+ months (maybe years)

I’d like to propose to the OC a few options.

      a) We minimise this to 3 spaces with painted lines to stop cowboy parking

      b) Possibly float the idea of selling 1-2 of these spaces

What are others doing or have done re: parking.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
