I own a unit in a small strata block. The windows in the building are the “french” style ones that push up to open, as opposed to sliding horizontally. The spring or weight mechanism on several windows in my unit is broken and hence the windows do not stay open when I want some fresh air (they just slide back down!) Who is responsible for the cost of having these repaired – the strata or myself?
Also, what sort of tradesman would be best to fix this problem? I’m not sure where to start.
Many thanks for any advice!
