      Thanks again, really appreciate the help.

      It seems somewhat unfair, that if a couple are co-owners, only one of them can be on the committee.

      But….  if there is only one registered owner, then both members of the couple can be on the committee (admittedly with one being put forward by another owner).

        Thank you Jimmy, really appreciate the response. 

        We have our AGM coming up shortly and we are being told that only one owner (from each lot that has two co-owners) can be on the committee at the one time.  We are told this change is ‘new’ to the new strata laws, but i can’t find any reference to this on Fair Trading. 

        I’m a sole owner, not a co-owner so this doesn’t affect me personally.  

        However, our building have a fabulous community orientated husband/wife couple as part of our current SC.  It seems a shame that when you have people who are willing to invest much personal time to help the rest of the community, that as a building we were being told that only one could put their name forward.  

        It’s great to know, that they can both be on the committee again as long as they both have third party nominations.
