From the Forum: Soft-touch seniors don’t get it

They don't look threatening but one owner is worried about the retirement home next door.

How bad does a strata scheme have to be before you head off to NCAT and apply for the appointment of a statutory strata manager?

Very, very bad, is the answer from the Flat Chat Forum. And this one might be a contender.

A committee of three – one old man and two middle-aged ladies – none of them with a skerrick of knowledge of strata law or a spark of enthusiasm, rules the roost.

Add in a majority of owners whose first language isn’t English and who are disinclined to get involved.

Plus a strata manager and building manager who refuse to do anything about known breaches (like illegally subdivided rooms) while engaging in dubious deals of their own.

But a statutory strata manager?  We suggest a completely different tactic HERE.

It must be something to do with so many of you working from home, but the Forum posts are pouring in.
