We’d all love to think that we are one big happy family in strata – but even family members fall out. And there are few things more irritating than an annoying neighbour.
And when quiet chats and sarcastic Post-it notes don’t work, how bad does it have to be before you make an official complaint? We’re not talking about a mumbled grumble to another resident – we mean a bona fide, on-the-record, written protest about a neighbour’s behaviour.
After the success of last week’s poll on what you would cut first if your budgets needed a trim (results here), we thought we’d take another deep dive into the strata psyche.
This week we want to find out the six things that would irritate you enough to make a formal complaint; one that might require you to front up to a committee or even a tribunal, to plead your case and shame your neighbour.
Would it be stealing a parking space or leaving shoes outside their apartment door? Where is your line in the sand? You have up to six options out of 12 strata sins – choose wisely. Anyone can vote but only registered readers can comment on the options and the results (HERE) or add their own bugbears to the list of apartment no-nos.
What neighbour behaviour would annoy you enough for you to make an official complaint.
