Is everything inside your own town house boundary common property.? Our strata manager says this.

The Strata plan says boundary is the centre of the wall.

Is the driveway inside your boundary common property?

      Thanks.

Always go by the strata plan and its notes.

In NSW, pre 1974 buildings defined the boundary between common property and lot property as the centre of the wall. Subsequent to 1974 it was changed to the inner surface.

Many strata managers don’t know this.

By the driveway,I am going to assume you mean the actual concrete path. Unless marked otherwise on the strata plan, it would be common property as all floors are considered as such.

Yup, What Kaindub said. Check the thick black lines on the strata plan as they show the boundaries of common property.

Don’t assume anything as some areas around townhouses can be designated as lot property and some as common property.  Check the plan.
