      Dear Jimmy

      One of the enclosed garages in our basement area has been converted into a workshop for panel beating.  The panel beating is a private affair.  That is, I am confident the resident isn’t using the workshop commercially.  Are there any regulations (state or local) controlling the use of private basement garages in apartment buildings?  I had a cursory look but couldn’t find any material.
