The Owners Corporation Network has postponed its Savvy Strata seminar planned for Saturday week (Oct 14), citing a series of major challenges to strata owners as the reason for the late change of plan.
“The flammable cladding issue and the response to the short-term holiday letting position paper, including a planned “Town Hall” on short term letting to be held later this month, are taking up a lot of our time,” said a spokesperson.
“The recent revelation that NCAT (NSW Civil Administration Tribunal) had overturned a by-law banning short-term letting in an apartment block was the last straw and we feel we need to concentrate our resources at this crucial time.
“We’ll announce the new date soon and hopefully it will be to celebrate some long overdue wins for strata owners.”
