I’m hoping someone can help me in what to do. In short a few people in the building wanted to do major renovations which we could neither afford nor did we want. It was well over a hundred thousand dollars. Since we said no to these the said people have gone crazy with non stop bullying and harassment which has gone on and on to the point of me being that unwell I’m considering selling. I’ve tried to tell them to leave me alone many times but it continues. Is the only way to settle this is to sell ? Any advice would be great. Thank you

How are they bullying/harassing you? In person? By email?
Bullying and verbal abuse are forms of assault and you could get a personal viloence order from your local court if you have enough evidence of the abuse and of the detrimental effect on your health (like a doctor’s letter).
Take the worst of them to court and the rest will back off very quickly.

You do not need a long list of abuses in order to file an Apprehended Personal Violence Order. You do not even have to have a medical complaint. Just one well documented incident is sufficient.
The grounds for seeking an APVO are pretty broad and when you file it (you do not need a solicitor but I would recommend you get one once court appearances start) the registrar will look at your application and give general direction whether an APVO is appropriate.
The interim order you get initially is as good as a final order, being that if they break the interim order it’s a criminal offence. But you need to go to court to get final orders.
It cost me around $2000 in solicitors fees in order to get a final order. We didn’t get to court and the other party consented to the order. And this was strata related.
Document everything: date, time, their actions towards you and words they said, and then state how it made you feel. Collect as much evidence as you can – photos, recordings, your other neighbour’s stat decs about them and so on. Then file a APVO or conciliation or adjudication.
