    Just a quick question –
The entire complex that I live in is undergoing a major renovation including all external painting and railings on balconies being replaced.

In order to do the above everyone has been asked to clear their balconies of items for their protection and piece of mind. This includes bbqs, table and chairs, etc.

However there is a question of air con units that have been installed on individual lots by the owners and a spa on one terrace and large concrete pots for plants on another. These owners are saying that the strata should bear the cost of moving these items.

However I think that each owner should be responsible for moving their own property. Is this right?

Further there are sone taps and pipe work that will need to be removed from some balcony decks ( due to style of replacement railing chosen) – it think that this would fall under common property and so this would be a responsibility of the strata to reinstate.

    Thanks for any help 🙂
